I've had some bad luck this year with rear mech cables breaking, but I was fortunate that both times it happened close to Chevin cycles. They took care of me each time. Fantastic service: definitely worth a shout!

A buddy of mine pointed me to the Otley branch, and let me tell ya, the whole experience was top-notch from the get-go. We were in the market for two bikes, and Philip really made us feel comfortable, especially with the overwhelming selection of electric bikes available. He gave us solid advice on what would suit our needs best. Philip even let us take the bikes for a spin to ensure they were a good fit. He covered all the details about the bikes, and at no point did we feel rushed. From start to finish, it was smooth sailing. Huge shoutout to the entire team at Otley! We’ll definitely be back. I’m writing this because I’m about to leave a negative review on social media. I took my bike to Chevin Cycles in Skipton at 9:30 AM for a gold service that cost me £75. I mentioned to them to call me if there were any problems. An hour later, I received a text saying it was ready. When I went to pick it up, I was informed that it required a new set of gear cog plates at the back. I asked why they couldn’t fix it the same day, but the guy was too busy. I left without any details and was told to rebook. I’ve thrown away £75 on a so-called gold service and ended up with a bike that’s still broken. I’m supposed to go on holiday next week, and it really needed to be sorted out. I then called the Otley branch, but they were no help either, having no clue about when it could be fixed or how long it would take. The service you’re providing is appalling. I’ll be filing a small claim for the £75 and spreading the word as much as I can. My Boardman bike won’t be visiting your shops again. - Mr. Finch

The whole experience was fantastic from beginning to end. A bunch of folks suggested I check out Chevin Cycles, so I headed to their Skipton location. Russell took great care of me, and I ended up buying the bike thanks to his expertise, know-how, and top-notch customer service. When I picked up the bike from Matthew, everything went off without a hitch, and he even assisted me with the accessories I was looking to buy. I’ll surely be spreading the word and coming back for more!

Mark and Freya at Chevin Cycles in Skipton are an awesome duo (chevincycles.com). From the first bit of advice I sought, through the regular updates I received while the supply chain sorted itself out, to the meticulous care I got when picking up my new bike, everything was spot on and thorough.

Recently got myself a Haibike E-bike from the Otley location. Gotta say, I was really impressed with how the staff treated us. The info during the handover was straightforward and helpful. It was a fast and easy process from beginning to end. Definitely gonna use them again. 100% would recommend.

When I swung by the Otley store to grab my new Trek Domane SL5, Philip B was absolutely fantastic. He took the time to really explain the bike and helped me get the saddle just right. Plus, he shared some awesome advice on tyre pressure, upkeep, and servicing. I’d definitely recommend him!

I purchased a new Orbea Electric road bike thanks to the super helpful guidance from the team in Skipton. They really know their stuff when it comes to bikes, and I’m quite pleased with what was a big choice for me.

I recently bought a Trek Domane 5 AL. I called in on a bank holiday Monday and received excellent advice from Ian and the Scottish guy (sorry, I didn’t catch your name). They made sure I got the correct size and went above and beyond to find it. Fantastic service and expertise!

The customer service here is fantastic, and they're super helpful whenever I swing by with questions or need some parts. They're always eager to give advice and help you find your new bike or gear.

I swung by the Harrogate shop 'cause I had a problem with one of my mountain bike cleats. I sought their guidance, and the super helpful person at the counter not only fixed the issue but also shared some excellent tips. I thought I’d need to buy new cleats, but with a bit of effort, they were able to adjust my shoe and change the fitting. And guess what? It didn’t cost me a penny! These folks are truly passionate about biking. Big thanks for the personal touch in a world that often forgets the human side of things. I’m giving five stars to the management team (this kind of service has to come from somewhere) and 5.5 to the staff. I wish I could remember the name of the person who assisted me, but you know who you are, and I really appreciate it!

I had a fantastic experience at the Skipton store. The staff were super patient and really knew their stuff; I never felt rushed or like I was being pushed into a sale. They gave me all the info I needed and guided me perfectly. I’d definitely recommend Chevin Cycles to anyone. Cheers, Linda

This bike shop is super helpful and friendly. Mark in Skipton went above and beyond, taking plenty of time to make sure I picked the right bike and accessories. He also answered all my queries without hesitation.

We brought two bikes to the Otley shop for the £60 service. A few days later, we received a call saying the first bike was all good and needed no repairs. The second bike required some work, but I told them not to do anything since I had another bike and didn’t want to spend extra cash on this one. The guy mentioned he would handle the cables, so I assumed that was part of the £60 service, as I had clearly stated not to incur any costs. When we returned for the bikes a few days later, we were informed that the first bike had new cables and we were charged for them (mind you, this bike is only a year old and has barely been used), and the other bike, which I specifically said not to touch, ended up getting a lot of work done. I was really taken aback. I won’t be going back there again.
